Amoza Korea — founding Korea's AI planning engine, from Korea
한국에서 시작하는 AI 생산계획 엔진
Korean fabs make the world's memory, but they still plan it in Excel. aPlanner is an AI production-planning engine built for semiconductor complexity. Amoza Korea Co., Ltd. is the company being founded in 2027 to pilot it with Korean fabs — with Korean patent applications planned from Dec 2026, funded by Korean startup programs and a Pre-Seed round. OASIS-6 and the D-8-4 Technology Startup Visa are the bridge.
From engineer inside Korean fabs to founder of Amoza Korea
한국 반도체 현장의 엔지니어에서 창업자로
Nguyen Van Duong (Danniel Ng) has spent his career writing software for manufacturing. Working with Siemens Industry Software and on Samsung Electronics projects, he sat next to production planners and saw how the most advanced factories on earth are still planned. That experience is the origin of aPlanner — and the reason to build the company in Korea, not somewhere else.
Engineer
Senior Software Engineer & AI Engineer. Industry Software and AI projects for Siemens Industry Software and Samsung Electronics in Korea. Enterprise / low-code platform expertise (Siemens / Mendix ecosystem).
Resident
Living and working in Suwon, Gyeonggi-do on an E-7-1 visa. Completed OASIS-1 (Korean IP system) in 2026.
Founder
Originator of aPlanner and the Amoza platform vision. Personal research, self-funded — no legal entity yet. Supported by 2 Siemens Industry Software advisors and 5 engineering partners.
Amoza Korea will hold the IP and sell; Amoza AI (Vietnam) supplies the engineers

The Technology Startup Visa path
Korea's OASIS programs (KMAC Global Startup Immigration Center) and the D-8-4 Technology Startup Visa let a foreign engineer living in Korea found a technology company here. The plan: reach the D-8-4 points threshold (target ≥ 80 by May 2027, so either published pass mark is met), incorporate Amoza Korea with OASIS-8 support, change status from E-7-1 to D-8-4, and be full-time in Korea before the first pilot.
Why this order
Award → IP → company → visa → pilot. OASIS-6 is the first domino: the completion certificate is a mandatory D-8-4 item, the KIPO patent application secures the Korean filing date for the core technology (the Korean 12-month grace period covers the public material published while the application was prepared), and OASIS-8 carries the incorporation.
Point values and the pass mark are published by third parties and differ between sources; the plan is built to exceed the higher reading. Confirmed with the Immigration Office before filing.
18-month plan — OASIS-6 → D-8-4 → Korean pilot
18개월 계획 — OASIS-6 → D-8-4 비자 → 한국 파일럿
OASIS-6, IP, MVP validation
OASIS-6 competition; OASIS-4/5; KIPO patent application #1; trademarks Amoza / aPlanner; aPlanner MVP validation on synthetic fab data; Korean UI.
Incorporate Amoza Korea Co., Ltd.
Incorporation (Incheon Songdo or Suwon — TBC) with OASIS-8; apply TIPS / Pre-startup Package; D-8-4 change of status; pilot contract negotiation; engineering-services agreement with Amoza AI (Vietnam).
First Korean fab pilot
Paid readiness assessment → first Korean fab pilot (one production line, 8–12 weeks); hire 2 Korean engineers (planning domain + MES integration); Pre-Seed US$800K close.
First KRW revenue
Convert pilot to Starter subscription; second Korean customer (supplier / OSAT); SOC 2 Type II preparation (planned 2027–28); Korean BD hire; Seed preparation.
Expand from Korea
5–10 Korean customers; aMonitor; Singapore / Vietnam from Korea HQ; Seed US$2M.
Korea is the center of gravity of memory manufacturing
한국은 메모리 반도체 제조의 중심
Every new fab in the Yongin–Pyeongtaek cluster will need a planning team. Overseas vendors fail the Korean fab's first three questions: where is my data, does it talk to my MES, and who answers the phone in Korean at 7 a.m.? Three advantages no overseas vendor can copy quickly:
Data stays in the fab
On-premise or private cloud inside the fab network — air-gapped option, read-only connectors first, no production data leaves the site; K-ISMS / ISO 27001 roadmap.
Korean fabs reject off-site production data. Cloud-first planning suites stall in the security review; we clear the #1 objection on day one.
Korean systems landscape
Pre-built connectors for in-house MES, SAP ERP, yield / bin databases and planner spreadsheets; Korean SI / MES partners deliver; two Siemens Industry Software architects advise on MES / PLM integration.
Incumbents need 12–18 months of system-integrator customization; we target 8–12 weeks to a running pilot because the Korean stack is our default, not a project.
Korean users, Korean support
Korean UI, reports and approval workflow; Korean hires in 2027 (planning domain, MES integration, BD); founder and support within an hour of the cluster (Songdo / Suwon); KRW contracts with a Korean company.
Overseas vendors support in English from another time zone; we sit next to the planner, in Korean, at roughly half the incumbents' entry price (Starter KRW 120–300M).
